Iranian foundation, French exhibition to collaborate on computers games

TEHRAN – Iran’ National Foundation for Computer Games (NFCG) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Game Connection, a major international exhibition of computers games in Paris.
Based on the MOU inked in Cologne on Wednesday during the Gamescom, Europe’s largest trade fair for computer and video games, the Game Connection will help the foundation to invite top video game developers and companies from across the globe to the Tehran Game Convention, the NFCG announced in press rerelease on Thursday.
Roughly 2700 international developers, publishers, distributors and service providers will come together to find new partners and clients at the Game Connection, which will be held in Paris from October 26 to 18.
At the Gamescom, Iran also offers a book entitled “Essential Facts and Key Players”, which carries information about the country’s latest achievements in videogame.
Earlier in June, Iran’s Fanafzar Sharif Software in collaboration with the NFCG called for a videogame design competition for picking topmost game prototypes to be showcased at the Gamescom.
This year’s Gamescom, which premieres over 300 products from all over the world, will run until August 21. The trade fair is being held annually by the Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software.
